Oldham Council Sustainable Regeneration

Presentations were delivered that covered where progress has been made, projects in the pipeline and thermal heat pump innovation.

The main speakers at the conference included Oldham Council’s Darren Jones, Julian Packer from Greater Manchester’s Low Carbon Delivery Unit, Trevor Whittaker from Aqualor Energi and Warrington Council’s Danny Mather and Becca Warren.

Films of the speakers’ presentations are available to view and download.  They are informative and may be of interest to local authorities – especially departments in Planning and Regeneration and Sustainability, housing associations, heat network providers, solar PV installers, housing and commercial developers, and companies providing finance to low carbon projects.

Presentation overview: GMCA’s approach to non-domestic energy efficiency, covering schools and solar PV, street lighting and heat networks.  Overview of potential municipal energy company for Greater Manchester.

Presentation overview: Oldham heat networks, making use of flooded mines with water source heat pumps, thermal heat pump innovation around the UK.
