What is green energy?

Green energy means power generated from the elements – sun, wind, water (rivers, tides or wave power) and biofuels (gas released by rotting food and agricultural waste). Unlike dirty electricity generated by burning fossil fuels (oil, coal and gas), green energy is renewable and has little impact in terms of climate change and air pollution. There are lots of energy providers in the UK offering green energy, but they’re not all equally environmentally friendly. We verify the claims of all the companies that we offer to ensure they provide 100% renewable energy.
