Join Carbon Landscape, Peel L&P and Great Manchester Wetlands for a day of planting work on this rare mossland.
The site was once extracted for its peat soil reserves and as a result the mossland has dried out and the special plants have been lost. Peel L&P and Natural England have since worked together to re-wet the site and improve its condition. The next step is to reintroduce the specialist mossland plants that were lost as a result of the peat soil extraction process.
Help plant 1,000 mossland plants on the 10th March 2020.
Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary.
