North West Net Zero Hub are overseeing the regional share of the national Community Energy Fund (CEF) a national £10Million grant programme for community groups and eligible third sector organisations to develop projects from feasibility to commercialisation.
The funding will support eligible community groups to consider options, design schemes and overcome barriers to investment. The programme is currently in a ‘soft launch’ phase pending an official launch from central government soon.
The Hub is keen to hear from any community groups who are interested in finding out more or who would like to discuss a potential project. Groups are invited to attend an online session with the NW Net Zero Hub team to find out more. A session is taking place on the 11th December at 12pm.
If you are interested in attending a session, please complete a short booking form to ensure the Hub knows who is attending and enables them to keep in touch afterwards with further support. The sessions will be recorded and made available for viewing at a later date.
James Johnson, Head of Regional Programme at the North West Net Zero Hub, will introduce the Fund, provide information on the Expression Of Interest and application process, and will introduce the support programme for the scheme. He will also take questions which you can ask on the day or pre-submit via the booking form.
